glam candles :: diy

here's a fun way to update your dollar store candles! i've had the ones above sitting around collecting dust for quite some time now. (i'm a former hoarder of candles). by adding some metallic tape, these babies are easier to dust and look glam!

you'll need:

1. candle(s)
2. metallic tape (i found mine at the hardware store)
3. scissors

here's the details:

1. measure (or eyeball it) the distance around your candle
2. cut several pieces this length
3. remove backing of one length of tape as you adhere to candle. tip: if you remove the backing all at once, your tape will stick to itself and you'll be so frustrated, you may give up. don't give up!
4. continue wrapping the tape around the candle until it is all covered. 
5. pinch any overlay around the top
