painted drinking jars :: diy

the other day, while out shopping, i came across frosted glass spray paint - that had color options! well, i had to try that. especially, because, everytime i try to paint glass, it doesn't seem to stick. it chips when dry or disappears when wet.

i am happy to report that this time around the paint is staying on! use the blue, like i did above, and enjoy a fun way to sip at your 4th of july festivities!

here's how you can make them too:

you'll need: mason jars or tumblers, krylon glass spray paint, painters tape

the DIY details:

  1. clean your glass of any dirt or dust
  2. tape the top edge so that your mouth doesn't touch the spray-painted part.
  3. turn upside down and spray the bottom of your glass so that it is solid and you cannot see through it.
  4. gently spray downward (which, is actually spraying to the top of your glass). this will cause an ombre effect.
  5. let dry, wash & use!
