do you have a photo editing program of any sort? if so, you can do it too... here's how:
- open your photo in your editing program of choice (photoshop is used in the pics above)
- use a circular selection tool to frame the part of the image you want to be "framed". note: if you don't see this right away in your tool bar, check under the regular square selection tool - you have all sorts of options!
- to get a perfect circle in photoshop, you'll want to hold down the "shift" key while selecting your section
- once you are satisfied with the area selected, you will select the inverse. a short cut in photoshop to do this is ctrl+alt+i (this selects all of the area that is not in your circle... so outside your circle)
- next, create a new layer on top of your picture layer. make sure your new layer is highlighed when you move onto #6.
- now, go to your fill tool (it looks like a bucket about to spill paint). click on the outside of your circle and the entire inverse selection should fill with your color of choice.
- flatten your layers, crop if desired and save.
i plan to print mine out and frame in square (i know, i'm lame) frames - no matte needed! i'll try to remember to show you a final pic of the gallery when it's complete.
questions? comment below and i'll try to help! xo
