coffee filter heart wreath :: diy

do you decorate for valentine's day? maybe just a little here or there? if so, here is an easy diy that you can make with supplies you most likely already have! i do have to tell you, this wreath is so much more beautiful in person... my pictures just didn't do it justice.

you'll need:

  • food coloring
  • a bowl of water
  • a group of coffee filters... maybe 50ish
  • cardboard
  • a utility knife
  • hot glue gun & glue
  • ribbon

the DIY details:
  1. mix red food coloring into your bowl of water
  2. dip your coffee filters into the bowl. do not lower in all the way, and only hold there for a few seconds
  3. let dry
  4. take your cardboard and cut out a heart using your utility knife.
  5. cut out another heart shape inside your heart. this will leave you with a frame of sorts.
  6. scrunch and glue on your coffee filters
  7. tie with a ribbon & hang

and there you have it friends! let us know if you try it out. xo
