this old barn :: photo journal

did you know i live on a farm? yep, i do. a very old one in fact... it's one of the original dairy farms in springfield. there are no longer cows, but we do have a wide variety of pets. haha! we are just corn & beans these days, but the old barns still stand.

i love living where i do. i love that my boys can run off and set up forts and build inventions out of the old "junk" they find. they play for hours. it's a childhood that i'm incredibly happy we are able to give them.

on the weekends, right before sunset, i usually have to walk over and herd them home. last weekend, i took my camera because the lighting was oh-so-perfect. it had been a few months (since it got cold) that i had wondered over. i'm glad i/we did... everything looks different in the winter.

maybe i'll build myself a fort sometime soon...
