in my attempt to regulate the amount of video games & tv in my house, i've been coming up with some new activities for the kiddos. last night, we played mini soccer and it was a huge hit. the first thing my little one said this morning was "can we play that game again tonight?!".
to play, all you need is an old piece of paper (waded up), an ink pen and a coffee table or ottoman. this could even be a fun game to play at a restaurant while waiting for dinner (a kid-friendly restaurant, that is).
rules:
- fingers must be kept on the table at all times.
- no throwing the "ball"
- all other soccer rules apply (off sides, out of bounds, etc)
pretty simple way to get the kids away from the tv, right?!
