today, i'm showing you an idea for how to bring a little nest inside for spring decor. these tea cups can be set on a table or hung from up high. how lovely would they look in an arrangement above your easter table?!
you'll need:
- tea cups that you no longer use
- dried grass
- moss of different sorts
- hollowed out or foam eggs. you can purchase these at a craft store, or do it yourself
- decorative paper
- ink & stamps
- hot glue gun & glue sticks
- hemp or yarn (optional)
the DIY details:
- grab a fist of green dried grass and clump together approx. the size of your tea cup
- line the inside of your tea cup with hot glue
- press down the grass, making sure you are leaving a little indentation for a smaller nest
- create a small nest with moss or more dried grass and glue to green grass
- glue egg in center of your small nest
- tear a piece of your decorative paper about as long as your tea cups diameter
- stamp a message with your ink & stamps (the ones above say 'spring'). yours could say welcome, hello, chirp, etc.
- glue your paper over the top of the tea cup
- you can prop on a shelf for display or tie hemp to the handle and hang
