diy refashioned hat :: diy fashion upcycle

do you have a few old hats lying around that you don't wear anymore? i certainly do! i buy them, wear them once or twice and they go to the hat graveyard on a shelf in my closet. well, here's a fun way to refashion them into something you'll wear again!

you'll need:

• hat (new or old)
• flowers or other accessories. see tutorials for making your own fabric flowers here and here.
• needle, pins & thread

diy:

1. decide where you want your accessories to be placed on the hat. i set mine off to the side a bit.
2. pin each piece in place
3. use your needle & thread to hand sew each piece from the under side of the hat
4. double or triple your knot at the end
5. wear and enjoy!
